It seemed like a good idea at the time, and she’d asked Maley to come too, just to remind herself why she shouldn’t make a pass at Will. They’d driven up last night, and already her resolve was being tested at breakfast.
His dark brown eyes stared intently across the table, and his lips tipped up ever so slightly. Was he only joking with her? She couldn’t read whether he was serious or not. But she had to say something.
