Six Sunday--Always a Chance

So it's been a couple weeks since I participated in Six Sentence Sunday, but I'm back with another installment from Always a Chance, a story about Cara Reynolds and Will Jones. She's in PR and he's working with her to promote the Ultimate Sparring League. During a long weekend, Will suggests they pretend they're dating to fool his sister, who is also Cara's best friend.  Though she knows so many reasons she shouldn't...she's still debating the insanity of possibly saying yes.  We pick up as she realizes Will's intentions of making this a working weekend might not have been as innocent as they'd first seemed.

It seemed like a good idea at the time, and she’d asked Maley to come too, just to remind herself why she shouldn’t make a pass at Will. They’d driven up last night, and already her resolve was being tested at breakfast.

His dark brown eyes stared intently across the table, and his lips tipped up ever so slightly. Was he only joking with her? She couldn’t read whether he was serious or not. But she had to say something.

Read more Six Sentence Sundays here, or sign up to participate next week. Hope you have an enjoyable Sunday and a Happy Easter!

Oh, and if you like FREE, you can download Mercy, a paranormal romance short story on Smashwords from yours truly.  I designed the cover myself, and though it's probably still a work-in-progress, I like how it turned out.  Just click on the title and download it to any electronic device for free.

Happy Writing and Reading,Cherie

I love this. I'm very intriguing to know what he's playing at and what he's just said to her. Nice six.

Oooh, I wonder what she's going to say. :) I like things that "seemed liked a good idea at the time". LOL They always have such interesting twists and turns that way.

Oh no! Is there anything worse than a man who's got an ulterior motive and who loves to tease? :)

Such a tease--the character and the six. Really enjoyed it.
