We're still in New Falls, Tennessee with Sara Delaney and Sheriff Quentin Taylor. Sara has just reported a burglary during which her laptop was stolen (EEK!). She's just finished explaining she's also missing her underwear and has her fingers crossed that the good sheriff won't recognize her. But that's not how conflict works. Here is another six from Lost in New Falls:
“Sara Delaney? Your name is Sara?”
Here it comes. “Yes.”
He studied her again, disbelief apparent in his golden eyes. If he was waiting for her to confirm they knew each other, they’d be standing here until the cedar smell wore off the log walls around them.
