The writing has been slow lately. Between crazy health situations and the start-up of the ever-faithful day job again, I'm having trouble focusing.
I think some of it is also the fear that "I can't do it again." You know, publication jitters and all. My short story, Into the Fire, comes out in about a month, and I'm still trying to finish a follow up story, which I truly, truly like, but can't seem to make myself write. Every time I sit down, I get about a page done, but a gazillion plot bunnies hopping around me, taking my focus again.
Today, I get to hang out with the ladies of Kentucky Romance Writers though, and I always walk away completely inspired. So, I'm hoping my little fingers will be flying across the keyboard for a while after the meeting is over. It's never failed me before.
Happy Writing!

Hope the meeting gave you some inspiration. I'm still struggling with focus, but hanging in there! You do the same. I know you can accomplish it!
Keep us posted as to how its coming along.
Thanks, Taryn. I'm working on it. I've got back to my old stand-by--"If I write for 10 minutes straight, I can take a short break." It works for me.
Hope your focus improves now that your kiddos are back in school.
